In many homes, the garage plays a key role. Other than being a place to park your car, it often ends up as an extra living area, gym, workshop, a man cave or a kids retreat. Even if you choose to use a garage for its proposed purpose, installing insulation in garage adds an extra layer of thermal protection to your property and acts effectively to protect the core of your home from extreme hot and cold.

A garage door without insulation allows external weather to enter the property. Without a thermal barrier any direct sunlight heats the garage door transferring radiant heat inside the home. In winter, garage door transfers the cold climate indoors. Professionally installed insulation will make a 13-17 degrees difference instantly.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Our rigid insulation panel uses its aluminium surfaces to reflect both heat & cold energy sources. This means that in summer the heat on the outer side is reflected off the garage door or colorbond aluminium sheet, whereas also reflecting the cooler energy back inside. In winter the cold is reflected off the external side whilst the heat is reflected back into the property.

Upon installation a thermal break with low thermal conductivity is created. It slows / stops the transfer of heat or cold, preventing the flow of energy (hot or cold) between the two different sides of the panel.
